MISSION STATEMENT & PROFILE
The Discovery of God's Love is a wonderful, almost magical thing. Christian Illusionist, Steve Varro has made this discovery in his own life. And now he has developed his God-Given talents of sleight of hand with a Christ centered flair! Steve Varro brings you more than a magic show, more than a testimony of love, it's a moving experience that will fill you with the warmth of God's Love.
Like most sleight of hand artists, Varro became interested with the world of illusion as a young boy. Self taught through reading and lots of practice, Steve began performing for Corporate Parties, Service Clubs and Schools while living in Northern Indiana.
Steve discovered the potential of "Gospel Magic" when he was asked to perform at a church Camp Meeting, after his conversion to Christianity in 1975.
In 1978 Steve moved to Southern California and began his ministry as a full-time Christian Illusionist, presenting his programs at Christian Schools, Camps, Churches and Youth Rallies as well as Conventions. Steve Varro now resides in Nashville, Tennessee, and travels worldwide sharing "The Magic of God's Love".
"The object of using sleight of hand in the pulpit," Varro said, "is simply to provide a way of visually communicating the Gospel. In my programs I make it extremely clear that what I'm doing is sleight of hand. This is done by presenting, then exposing a method used by phony psychics. This effect also illustrates how easy it is to be deceived by man, and how much easier it is for Satan to deceive us if we do not keep our eyes on Jesus."
Telling others of the importance of a love relationship with Jesus Christ is always first and foremost in Steve's programs.

Self taught over the
past 40 years through reading, studying with others and attending
hundreds of conventions and seminars on the use of "Gospel"
Illusions. Over the years Steve Varro has developed several
seminars and authored 8 books on Showmanship, Gospel Magic,
Showmanship and Comedy. These lectures along with Steve's
programs have been presented throughout the US and Canada,
as well as in the following countries around the world: Barbados,the
Philippines, India, England, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Jamaica,
Spain, France, Denmark, Borneo, Malaysia, Singapore, Papua
New Guinea, Australia, Mauritius, Madagascar, and Mongolia. |
